A Note on Audience Participation:

Our cast may interact with you during the performance and ask you to vote in multiple audience polls. Your participation is not mandatory, but it is a vital part of the communal experience and is greatly appreciated.

About the play:

Homa, a long-time immigrant from Iran who fled persecution from the Islamic regime, must navigate the complex emotions that arise when her son falls in love with a conservative Muslim woman. As Homa's past resurfaces in present-day Toronto, their future happiness is put to the test, inviting the audience to empathize with their emotional journey.

Inspired by real events, EARWORM is a stunning depiction of the far-reaching impact of the Iranian revolutions of 1979 and 2022 through themes of love, power, parenting, and political asylum.
